14.06.2024 | Waldner invests in new production technologies

Waldner is investing at its Wangen site: the Wangen-based group of companies is investing over 11 million euros to modernise production. The new systems, such as CNC machining centres and a new powder coating system, not only increase production output, but also expand the production spectrum at the headquarters.

"We want to upgrade our production and are setting an example for the production site in Wangen with an investment of over 11 million euros," explains Jochen Früh, CEO of the Waldner Group. He continues: "This significant and far-reaching investment reflects our successful corporate development and underlines our position as a pioneer in our industries - whether laboratory solutions, packaging or process systems or even intelligent school equipment."

Since last year, Waldner has been rebuilding its plant in Wangen, implementing new systems and reorganising processes - this applies to the production of Hermann Waldner as well as the production of laboratory room solutions. For example, there are not only new CNC machines for machining, but also a new rod processing centre and a new powder coating system for the metal division of the company group. A new building will be constructed for the latter next year. Commissioning is planned for around mid-2025.

The production of laboratory room solutions has also received and will receive new machines, such as a drilling centre, carcase press and a CNC machining centre. The new equipment will minimise changeover times and improve error prevention and occupational safety.

"With an impressively high order intake in the current financial year, we are well positioned in all business areas. These investments in future-proof production facilities enable us to implement new technologies and expand our production capacities in order to meet the increasing demands of our customers," says Stephan Schaale, CFO of the Waldner Group, with conviction.

And Jochen Früh adds: "Our projects extend all over the world. We are therefore confident that these investments will help us to strengthen our global competitiveness."
